Laser
Laser scanning provides 3D coordinates for all data in the field of view of the laser
scanner therefore any element scanned can be measured and can be included in a
3D computer model. Conventional methods were limited to major obstacles and
pipe lines due to the volume of data required to identify all items. The
increase in available information adds to the accuracy of the model, again
contributing to reduced cost and accelerated schedule.
