The improvements included the addition of new equipment and piping systems in existing areas. Because of the limited available space, it was decided to model portions of the existing systems in 3D CAD. Scope of Services Data was obtained during a site visit. As-built information was collected to model an area covering two floors and ten bays. A 3D PDMS CAD model was generated of the total area. The 3D CAD model included all piping, cable tray, equipment, structural steel, lighting, and conduit. From this model, 2D CAD drawings were produced in support of the engineering effort.
